The Lowlands Nursery offers plants that are well-adapted to the urban conditions of Gowanus, celebrating the local ecosystem while educating and engaging the community in environmental stewardship. Our plant inventory centers on native urban-adapted plants, which we sell to individuals, civic institutions, and landscape designers. Our mission-driven nursery supports stewardship of the Gowanus lowlands by providing plant material for installations and engaging students and volunteers in direct plant care. All proceeds support Gowanus Canal Conservancy’s mission-based programs.
